Value Postal Users Voice within UPU

FEDMA recently played an active role to defend and promote the voice of users at the Universal Postal Union

Listening to postal users is all the more necessary as postal operators and legislators seek to develop further postal services. The European Commission of the European Union has, over the last two years held, two Postal User Forums. The Universal Postal Union (UPU) also regularly consults its postal users. With its 192 member countries, the UPU is a United Nations body established to promote and regulate a universal international postal system among the countries of the world.  It is the primary forum for cooperation between postal sector players. It helps to ensure a truly universal network of up-to-date products and services. The UPU Consultative Committee is the “doorway” to participation by business associations in the activities of the UPU. It gives postal stakeholders that are not public postal operators or regulators a voice in the UPU's deliberations. It consists of non-governmental organizations and companies representing customers, delivery-service providers, workers unions, suppliers of goods and services to the postal sector that have an interest in supporting the UPU's mission and objectives.
