Finnish Presidency aims for general approach on representative actions
The Proposal for the representative actions for the protection of collective interests of consumers is currently under discussions within the Council of Ministers working groups. There is a group meeting planned in the coming days and the Finnish Presidency hopes to have reached a general approach in the Council by mid-November.
The Commission strongly supports this proposal and Didier Reynders, during his interview in Parliament to become Commissioner for Justice, confirmed his support to this dossier.
FEDMA circulated its position paper and hopes that this proposal can be further balanced to respect self-regulation and GDPR.
